M/WBE Compliance

Our World Neighborhood Charter School is required to comply with NYSED’s Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) policy through the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant Program.

M/WBE participation includes services, materials, or supplies purchased from minority and women-owned firms certified with the NYS Division of Minority and Women Business Development.  Not-for-profit agencies are not eligible for this certification.

Currently Our World Neighborhood Charter School is seeking the following from eligible M/WBE organization:

  • After School Enrichment Services

  • Evaluation Services through the 21st CCLC Program

  • Education Technology Services

  • Curriculum Supplies and Materials

For the purposes of the 21st CCLC grant, the salary and fringe benefit exclusion applies to the expenses of the lead applicant as well as any approved partner organizations. For multi-year grants, applicants should use the total budget for Year 1 in the above calculation.
