OWNCS Wellness Policy 2017

OWNCS uses PowerSchool as its student information system. PowerSchool is a web-based system with a centralized database. Middle School teachers enter grades and attendance information for their students that is immediately available to school personnel and the children's parents/guardians. Attendance information can be viewed for Elementary Students.

OWNCS parents/guardians are required to create a PowerSchool account in order to access information about their children.

The PowerSchool Parent Portal provides the ability for parents/guardians to:

• Access multiple students with one login
• Change contact information
• Retrieve login information

Parent Teacher Conferences

Formal parent teacher conferences are scheduled twice a year to discuss student progress. Conferences are held at the end of the first and third quarters of the school year. Refer to the school calendar for specific dates. Parents/guardians may also schedule informal conferences with teachers or school leaders at any time throughout the year.

All formal conference appointments are scheduled online via Teacher Reacher.

Tutorials for creating an account and making appointments are available on the Teacher Reacher website by clicking on the Support link on the top menu bar.

PTO (Parent Teacher Organization)

OWNCS has an active Parent Teacher Organization that helps parents become involved in their children’s education, share ideas, and enrich their school communities. All parents, step-parents, legally appointed guardians, foster parents and persons in parental relation are automatically members of the PTO.
