As part of the school's commemoration of Women's History Month, our Middle School students are participating in two noteworthy charitable projects.  The first is the "Wands for Wildlife" project, which encourages the donation of used mascara wands, which can be recycled into useful tools in saving endangered animals.  The second is the "Equity, Period." project, which is a drive for sanitary napkins for those in need.

Mr. Hays, our Mandarin Teacher, and Ms. Rivard, our Spanish Teacher, celebrated the Chinese New Year by making nearly 300 steamed dumplings with their students. Along the way, they experienced the richness of the cultural traditions surrounding this holiday. We wish everyone a joyful Year of the Pig!   Our OWN students lovingly collected cash and assembled care packages for families in need in Puerto Rico, which is still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Maria. Hazel and Nikola, our student representatives, hand delivered the items at the Museo Del Barrio to the Mayor of Monrovis, Puerto Rico.   Special thanks to Ms. Guridis for spearheading the relief efforts!
